Fees & Insurance
We believe transparency is an important part of ethical care.
Insurance
We are in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and Carelon Behavioral Health in all four states where we practice (New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Virginia), with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia, and with Anthem EAP in New York and Delaware. In-network billing is handled through Headway. Additional panels — including Horizon BCBS of New Jersey, United Healthcare, Oscar, and Oxford — are in credentialing now; join the notify list and we’ll reach out the day they open. Out-of-network superbills are available for all other plans.
Session rates
• Individual therapy: $175 per 45-minute session
• Couples therapy: $225 per 60–75-minute session
• Initial consultation: Complimentary (15 minutes)
Sliding Scale
A limited number of sliding-scale openings are available at $140–$200 per session, based on financial need and clinician availability. If cost is a barrier, please raise it in your consultation — we will tell you honestly what we have available.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the federal No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care. If you are uninsured or paying out of pocket, we will provide a written estimate before your first session, and at any time on request. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your estimate, you can dispute it. Read our full No Surprises Act notice here, or ask us any time — transparency about cost is part of good care.
As a mindfulness-informed practice, we recognize that access to mental health care is not equitable.
A Key Therapy provides a limited number of pro bono appointments on a time-limited basis. These spaces are reserved for individuals facing significant financial hardship and are offered at the discretion of each clinician.
Our commitment to pro bono work reflects our belief that mental health care is both a profession and a responsibility. At the same time, we maintain clear boundaries to ensure the sustainability and quality of care for all clients.
Pro bono
A small number of pro bono appointments are offered on a time-limited basis for individuals facing significant financial hardship, at the discretion of each clinician.
