Their first case study is HWS's own Personal Empowerment Program. Invited back by the colleges, they led a site visit, interviewed students, facilitators, faculty and the program's founders, and rebuilt the course as a 12-week curriculum with its first Facilitator Manual. More than 100 students took the redesigned program in Fall 2025, and HWS's Office of Institutional Research reported decreases in depression and anxiety and gains in personal growth and self-acceptance.
Her areas of concentration include academic achievement, ADHD, anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, bullying, coping skills, depression, disabilities, distress tolerance, life transitions, peer relationships, relationship issues, self-esteem and social skills.

CASE STUDY · HIGHER EDUCATION CONSULTING
Personal Empowerment Program, Hobart and William Smith Colleges
Two HWS alumni, Jenna and Lex, were invited back to redesign a peer-facilitated course that had not been revised in five years. They began with a site visit and interviews with students, facilitators, faculty and the program's founders, then built a 12-week curriculum that weaves CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based stress reduction, polyvagal theory and ACT together with a social justice thread, along with the program's first Facilitator Manual.
More than 100 students took the redesigned course in Fall 2025. HWS's Office of Institutional Research measured decreases in depression, anxiety and distress (CCAPS) and gains in personal growth, self-acceptance, purpose and autonomy (Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale).
